The title is “Rebellion Against the Absurd,” based on Albert Camus’ concept of absurdity. This series of works was inspired by a video of a woman killed in a conflict. I lost words watching the horrific scene. She was not involved in the conflict at all and was clearly a non-combatant. She was just doing cultural and peaceful activities. As a cultural activist myself, I was deeply shocked by this and was filled with indescribable and inexpressible emotions. I could not help but draw something as an attitude toward this “absurdity”.
