Information for Collectors
1. International Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide using Japan Post EMS (Express Mail Service) or UGX to ensure tracking, insurance coverage, and secure delivery.
- Handling Time: Please allow 5-7 business days for artwork preparation and packaging.
- Delivery Time: Typically 10-14 business days, depending on customs clearance procedures in your country.
- Tracking: A tracking number will be provided immediately upon dispatch.
2. Import Duties, Taxes & EORI
- Buyer Responsibility: International shipments may be subject to import duties, VAT (Value Added Tax), and customs fees levied by the destination country. These charges are not included in the artwork price or shipping cost and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
- EU & UK Regulations:
- VAT: Depending on local laws (e.g., under £135 in the UK or €150 in the EU), VAT may be collected at checkout. For higher values, it is typically collected by the carrier upon delivery.
- EORI Number (Important for High-Value Orders): For shipments to the EU or UK valued over 200,000 JPY, customs authorities may require the importer to provide an EORI number. While this is primarily for business entities, private individuals importing high-value goods may occasionally be asked for identification. If you possess an EORI number, please include it in the “Order Notes” to prevent delays.
- Customs Delays: We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs clearance processes.
3. Framing & Preservation
- Unframed Delivery: Artworks are shipped unframed to ensure safety during transit and to allow collectors to choose framing that suits their personal space.
- Conservation: As my works utilize light-sensitive pigments and archival paper, I strongly recommend museum-quality framing with UV-protective glass or acrylic and acid-free mats. This is essential to safeguard the longevity and vibrancy of the piece.
- Care Instructions: Avoid displaying the artwork in direct sunlight or high-humidity environments.
4. Commission Policy
My creative practice is fundamentally driven by personal visions and an adherence to my core artistic philosophy (Contemporary Figurative Expressionism). To maintain the integrity of my work, I do not accept directed commissions that require strict adherence to external instructions or commercial design specifications.
However, I am selectively open to “Artistic Commissions.” This implies a partnership where I am granted full creative freedom to interpret a theme through my own style. If you are seeking a piece that is authentically an extension of my current body of work, please feel free to submit a proposal detailing your vision and budget.
5. Licensing & Commercial Use (Album Art)
Generally, my current focus is exclusively dedicated to my Fine Art practice—creating works for exhibitions and private collections. Therefore, I do not accept standard requests for commercial illustration or graphic design services.
However, I am open to Licensing Agreements for existing works, or Special Collaborations where the project prioritizes my artistic autonomy. If your project resonates with the themes of my Fine Art practice, I would be happy to discuss possibilities.
6. Payment & Inquiries
- Payment Methods: All transactions are processed securely via PayPal, accepting major credit cards and international currencies.
- Acquisition Inquiries: Prices listed are final for individual collectors. However, for art professionals, galleries, or collectors interested in acquiring multiple works, please contact the studio directly to discuss potential arrangements.
